If you are on the island, this is a must stop! The staff were super kind, the soul vibe will remind you of ATL, and everything we ordered was incredible. We got the spicy garlic chicken, crab stuffed salmon, and the pink guava lilikoi lemonade.

Broke Da Mouth Grindz – Kapolei delivers bold island flavors and generous portions that hit the spot. The garlic furikake chicken is a standout—crispy, savory, and full of flavor. The kalbi ribs are tender, juicy, and just as satisfying. Service is fast and friendly, and while the location is tucked away in a strip mall, this hidden gem is one of the best spots for local grindz in Kapolei. Make sure to save room for dessert—the Ube Ice Cream Pie is a must-try. It's creamy, smooth, and perfectly sweet with a buttery graham cracker crust that adds just the right crunch. Cold and refreshing, it’s the perfect way to wrap up your meal. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this place is definitely worth checking out. Come hungry and leave happy!

So I really enjoy this place. The big bone luau is on my list of next to get. Their chicken reg/spicy was super flavorful and I literally bought their chili pepper water. I enjoy the combo and flavor it has. Their sweet potato bacon side is very different and filling. Their short rib was pretty dang good, but to be honest they need to work on their kalua pig and their cucumber side dish (both items I will not revisit). Their ice cream cake is ridiculous large so 1 slice is enough to feed 4 people or more. Other then that I highly recommend!

So the name of the restaurant definitely matches the taste of the food! It truly broke da mouth! We ordered used short ribs plate which meat was so tender and was able to pull it apart with just picking it up with chopsticks. Well seasoned and marinated braised short ribs. Also ordered the furikake garlic fried chicken plate. This garlic chicken was unlike any other garlic chicken I have had before. It was not dry at all and was delicious with just the right amount of garlic and furikake. We got the unique sweet potato salad as a side that came with bacon pieces which was interesting but delicious. We also ordered pork adobo fries. Fries were nice and crispy with the pork adobo topping. Definitely a must try and more than just an "eat if you're in the area" type of restaurant but actually moreso of a "making the drive out to kapolei to eat here" type of restaurant. That's how good this place is. Lemonade is good but not worth the price at 14. We saw how it was made and unfortunately lost the homemade feeling of it.

I’ve been coming to Broke Da Mouth Grindz in Kapolei since they opened a few years ago, and they continue to impress. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, the food, service, and laid-back vibe always hit the spot. The decor is simple but welcoming, with a small section of merch (t-shirts and tank tops) on display and a cooler stocked with some seriously refreshing drink options. It’s a great grab-and-go setup, but also a nice place to sit down and enjoy your plate. This visit, I ordered: • Spicy Garlic Furikake Chicken • Pork Adobo Fried Rice • Purple Sweet Potato Salad with Bacon and Eggs The chicken had just the right amount of kick, not overpowering but enough to bring the flavor. If you want to turn it up, there’s chili pepper water on hand for an extra punch. The pork adobo fried rice was rich, savory, and full of depth, definitely a comfort food win. But the star of the show? The purple sweet potato salad. I couldn’t get enough. Perfectly balanced, creamy, slightly sweet, and taken to another level with the bacon and egg combo. I’m usually not big on bacon, but this was on point, flavorful, not greasy, and absolutely addictive. Prices are very reasonable for the generous portion sizes, and they offer free water if you’re not grabbing a drink from the cooler. From the moment I sat down to the time I left, the place had a steady stream of customers, always a good sign that locals know what’s up. Broke Da Mouth Grindz lives up to its name. The food is consistently flavorful, the portions are satisfying, and the atmosphere is casual and friendly. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, this is one of those local gems you’ll be glad you found. Highly recommend.

This place is legit, exceeded our expectations. Elevated local food with a Filipino influence. It was very busy, but the staff managed the crowd efficiently.

HUGE portion sizes! Don't let the lines scare you, this place is worth the wait! The chicken was crunchy and flavorful and the short ribs almost melted in your mouth. Would certainly recommend!
